The lighthouse is an icon of marine civilization that has accompanied the history of humankind.
The lighthouse holds a certain power that brings hope in the darkness.
This certain power is the inheritance of humanity's ocean DNA itself.
The Korea National Maritime Museum is extending this to a long-term, special exhibition of lighthouses in the city of Busan, Korea's naval capital.
It is worth remembering that Korea in its history with the lighthouse has never had an exhibition of this type.
It is the support of the IALA and the Korea National Lighthouse Museum under the Korea Institute of Aids to Navigation that has made this one possible.
This exhibition has placed a large focus on the cultural and artistic image of the lighthouse in its cultural approach to it.
Today, lighthouses reach the public in a number of ways, including photographs, paintings, posters, models, and souvenirs.
We hope for this lighthouse exhibition to achieve renown among those who love the lighthouses of the world, and become the opportunity for the motto
we have given to it: "with the lighthouse, to the world".
