Korea National Maritime Museum holds the special exhibition, “Dragon, the guardian of the ocean”, marking the 6th anniversary of the opening of the museum.
In East Asia a dragon has been regarded as the symbol of god or an emperor which rules the ocean protecting the good and banishing the evil.
A dragon is the only imaginary creature among the 12 gods of the Chinese zodiac
Especially this special exhibition is mainly focusing on the dragon as the guardian of the ocean.
